The NH-U14S series represents the latest evolution of Noctua’s award-winning NH-U14 coolers. Since their introduction in 2005, the NH-U series has set the standard for premium, high-quality, and silent CPU coolers. 100% RAM Compatibility

Thanks to their slim design with only a 45mm fin depth, these coolers won’t overhang the RAM slots, even when equipped with two fans. This design ensures full access to memory modules on all current CPU sockets and guarantees compatibility with tall heatspreaders or optional memory fans. The NH-U12S can be used with RAM modules of up to 40mm height on these boards. Please refer to the compatibility list for details.

Excellent Overall Compatibility

These coolers are compact enough to fit into most modern mid-end or high-end tower cases. With a width of 125mm, they steer clear of the top PCIe slot on standard ATX or Micro-ATX motherboards, ensuring optimal compatibility with SLI and CrossFire setups.

Both fans included with the coolers support PWM for convenient automatic speed control via the motherboard. Furthermore, the maximum fan speed can be reduced using the supplied Low-Noise Adaptor for an even quieter operation.

Anti-Vibration Pads and Fan-Clips for Second Fan

For users aiming to boost performance by adding an optional second NF-F12 or NF-A15 fan, the coolers are equipped with fan clips and an extra set of custom-designed anti-vibration pads. These allow for a 5mm offset of the rear fan to enhance acoustics in dual-fan mode.

SecuFirm2 Mounting System

Noctua’s SecuFirm2 mounting systems are renowned for their quality, safety, and ease of use. Supporting a range of Intel and AMD sockets, the SecuFirm2 mounting included with the coolers guarantees ideal contact pressure and maximum convenience on all current sockets.

Compatibility with Past and Future Sockets

Adhering to the open SecuFirm standard, the coolers can be made compatible with older LGA1366 and LGA775 sockets using the provided NM-I3 mounting kit, offered by Noctua at no cost. When technically feasible, Noctua will also provide upgrade kits for future sockets.
